OUR CAMPUS

Located in Derry, New Hampshire, Pinkerton Academy is the largest independent high school campus in the United States. Since the Old Academy Building opened in 1815, the campus has grown to include over 170 acres featuring twenty-three buildings. Sixteen of these buildings are dedicated to daily academics, while seven serve administrative purposes.

The high school campus also boasts 95 acres of athletic fields and an additional 68 acres at Forsaith Forest in nearby Chester, NH. Generously donated by Dr. Forsaith, this rare Atlantic White Cedar swamp is maintained by students through hands-on environmental studies and forestry programs—making Pinkerton Academy a unique leader in experiential education.

At Pinkerton Academy, I’ve found more than just a workplace; it’s a second home where my journey from student to teacher has come full circle. From walking the same halls where I once learned to now guiding a new generation, Pinkerton’s impact on my life is undeniable. Through the support of my colleagues and the transformative moments with my students, I’ve discovered a profound sense of purpose and belonging that makes every day at Pinkerton truly special.”

Here, empowerment isn’t just talked about; it’s lived every day, allowing voices to be celebrated and creativity to thrive. Being part of the Astros family, I see firsthand our shared commitment to creating an exceptional high school experience for every student, driven by passion and support from our community.
